Day Out

Clearwell Caves - Wednesday March 25th. After the success of Brians walk last year, we plan to have a 7 mile walk in the area and then finish it with a guided tour of the caves. We will leave the Civic Centre at 9:00 a.m. or you can go direct to Clearwell Caves car park for 10:00 a.m. Those who just want to visit the caves need to be there by 2:30 p.m. The cost of the guided walk in the caves is £5.80 . You can of course just come for the walk. There is a tearoom there if you fancy a cuppa. - If you want to come contact Ken Phillips A.S.A.P. with your choice so that he can book the tour. Last date for booking - 15th April

 

 

Coach Trip No1

Windsor Great Park - Saturday 5th June. We will leave the Civic Centre at 8:00 a.m. Please note that you have to pay to park at the Civic Centre on Saturday - £3.50 and no change given!! You can park in adjoining streets but leave extra time to do so. We will stop at Reading Services for a toilet and coffee stop. There is an M&S outlet where you can buy sandwiches etc. if you wish. We will put our walking boots on there so that we can start our walk promptly. The walk is about 7 miles and there will be lots of interesting things to see. To round off the day we will be stopping at the Toby Carvery in Old Windsor for a meal before returning home. The cost of the coach is £15.00. Please make your cheque payable to South Gwent Ramblers and send it to Ken Phillips (address in February Newsletter). Please book early as we will be allowing members of other groups to come.
